Leading a Hybrid Workforce

Leading in a hybrid environment has become enormously challenging in today’s world of distributed teams and virtual workplaces. There is a need to further refine the desired workplace arrangement and to clearly define the required shifts to move from current to desired future-state.

Our Approach

Globally, organizations are navigating the complexities brought forward by hybrid work. There is no one-sized fits all approach; each business will need to apply a model that best fits the needs and values of the organization and its workforce. To support teams in moving through this change, I have developed a four-phased program. This program works to mitigate some of the most prevalent issues we are seeing in a hybrid environment, including unconscious bias and perceived inequities between in-office and remote workers, a decline in social capital and strain on workplace culture, and lack of definitive boundaries between personal and professional leading to stress and burnout.

  • Up-front assessment of your current arrangement and how it is aligned with successful arrangements elsewhere. This work includes:

    • Interviews with identified staff and leadership

    • Staff survey

    • Report on jurisdictional best practice in relation to the organization’s desired bybrid model

  • A half day executive session to:

    • review results from phase one

    • identify desired workplace environment

    • discuss shifts from current-to-future state

  • A full day leadership training session for those who are leading hybrid teams. Through this session, leaders will:

    • Identify what is required to (re)align people with organizational purpose.

    • Develop actions to strengthen trust and connection in a hybrid environment.

    • Enable teams to achieve greater performance through clarity of expectation and effective communication.

    • Generate actions for managing performance through outcomes, impact, and ownership.

    • Create strategies for enhancing inspiration and motivation of hybrid team members.

    • Develop an individual action plan for enhancing their personal leadership performance.

  • Recurring Executive team session to conduct a progress review and modify strategy as required.
